CSW Associates partners with NAAMBA in its first Global MBA Leadership Conference & Exposition, January 12th – 13th, 2012 in Singapore.

CSW Associates traveled to Singapore to participate in the Global MBA Leadership Conference & Exposition in January of 2012. This inaugural event, organized by the National Association of Asian MBAs (NAAMBA) in partnership with the MBA Career Services Council (MBA CSC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School as the Lead Academic Sponsor, was the first of its kind to have been organized in Asia. NAAMBA’s mission is to empower and advance Pan-Asian professionals globally and this conference officially marked NAAMBA’s expansion into the Asia-Pacific Region. The attendees consisted of MBA students, job seekers, working professionals, career services representatives, and recruiters, from over 10 countries and 5 continents. CSW presented a program specifically designed to highlight the issues Asian professionals face in the global business community. Building on over twenty years of experience in the region, this module focused on the importance of recognizing the diversity of Asian cultures and the critical need to leverage these different cultural assets in creating and sustaining competitive teams in order to meet the challenges of working in a global marketplace today. The program emphasized the need to develop manager competency when leading diverse teams with a broad representation of Asian professionals. It also addressed the importance of engaging with employees, sustaining a culture of meritocracy and driving a culture of inclusion globally to ensure the retention of talent within and outside of Asia.
